WikiGenes ist nicht profitorientiert und nach dem Prinzip von Open Access frei zug\u00e4nglich.<\/p>\n<p>Weil es hier um wissenschaftliche Informationen geht, ist die Autorenschaft zentral. Die Wiki-Software, auf der WikiGenes basiert, bietet einen Mechanismus, mit dem man direkt sehen kann, von wem eine bestimmte Textpassage verfasst bzw. \u00fcberarbeitet wurde: Ein Klick auf die betreffende Passage gen\u00fcgt, damit oberhalb des Artikels der jeweilige Autor angezeigt wird. Auch der WYSIWYG-Editor ist ungew\u00f6hnlich &#8211; bei der Wikipedia gibt es nichts Vergleichbares.
