Das Romantik Hotel Schweizerhof ist einerseits ein Bijou aus der grossen Zeit der Schweizer Hotellerie, als man noch nicht in die Ferien, sondern in die Sommerfrische fuhr. Es ist andererseits aber auch das Elternhaus des Schweizer Filmregisseurs Daniel Schmid, der es zum Vorbild für das Hotel in „Hors saison“ nahm.
